Why it parses cleanly

  • Single-column body with the contact block in plain text, never in a stripped header.
  • Georgia is a standard ATS-safe serif that embeds and extracts on every system.
  • Ruled uppercase headings use real heading styles, so each section is tagged for the parser.
  • Section rules are paragraph borders, not table cells the ATS could misread.
  • Comfortable 0.8-inch margins keep content inside the printable US Letter area.

FAQ

How is Professional different from the Classic template?

Both use Georgia, but Professional centers the name and sets headings in ruled uppercase for a more formal, corporate tone, while Classic stays left-aligned and neutral. Choose Professional when you want a touch more polish and authority for a mid-career corporate role.

Is the Professional template right for a manager or director resume?

Yes, for mid-career managers and directors it strikes the right register. If you are a senior executive presenting enterprise-scale impact, the Executive template gives larger headings and more commanding spacing tuned for that level.

Do the uppercase ruled headings affect keyword matching?

No. Heading text is read as plain words whatever its case or styling, and your keywords live in the summary and bullets, not the section labels. The uppercase rules are purely visual hierarchy for a human reader.
